Luis Cordoba - "Creating Happiness in Your Life"

Join us for our upcoming Special Event...

"Creating Happiness in Your Life"

Luis Cordoba

Tuesday 15th December 09

Most people operate their life as if happiness is something that happens to them. People are happy depending if their business, their relationships, their money, their health are working.

If some of these things are not working people tend to feel bad.

Luis is going to talk about what if it is possible to create our happiness regardless of our circumstances.

Luis F. Cordoba grew up in Colombia, South America.  At the age of 18, his father moved the family to Tallahassee, Florida to continue his practice of Psychiatry.  There Luis graduated from high school and joined the United States Army.  After three years he returned from Germany and enrolled in the University of South Alabama to pursue a career in dentistry.

At the University, Luis met Professor Brennan.  There was something very unusual about this professor; he was happy and he loved teaching.  The way his professor started his first class was by thanking the students, not once, but a few times, for signing up for his class.  Luis liked this teacher instantly.  To the surprise of everybody, Professor Brennan maintained his happy and cheerful mood the entire semester; even though the students had been making bets that this would not last for more than a few days.

Intrigued, Luis asked the Professor why was he so different from his other instructors who were not that happy and did not appear to enjoy teaching.  Professor Brennan told Luis about the Institute for Self Actualisation (isa).  He invited Luis to participate in the next seminar.  Although he was full of scepticism and fear, he trusted the professor and decided to go.  So it was that Luis, over 20 years ago, attended his first isa Experience.

To Luis' pleasant surprise, the seminar turned out to be the best, most important, weekend of his life.  It seemed as though a veil had been lifted and he could see clearly for the first time in his life.  He was awakened to the recognition that he was in charge of his life and that he could change all the negative programming that he had acquired.  He realised his desire to be a dentist came from his father's influence believing it would make him feel secure and he would make a lot of money.  At the Experience he saw he no longer wanted to be a dentist and met the man who was to become his mentor and teacher, Ole P. Larsen, the founder of the isa Experience.

Luis being so smart and dedicated to his new venture thought it would take him a few months to begin to lead the Experience.

Ten years later, having gone through the most intense and difficult years of his life, learning how to think and behave differently, and putting into practice information from the Experience, he finally led his first isa seminar.  Interestingly enough, by this time, Luis thought he would never lead the Experience because he wasn't good enough or smart enough.  Luis confronted his fears and Ole insisted he was ready.

Luis now resides in Chicago.  For the last 11 years he has been travelling around the United States, England and Sweden leading the Experience.  He currently facilitates about 40 seminars a year, including advanced trainings.  His teacher, Ole P. Larsen, retired in 1998 and Luis is presently the only facilitator of the Experience, except on special occasions, when Ole joins him.

Mission Statement

The Institute for Self Actualisation (isa) is an educational corporation which presents information in an environment that supports transformation.  The mission is to awaken individuals to realise they are in charge and in control of their own lives and to enhance the skills necessary to live their lives with integrity, passion, happiness and harmony
